Portions of the site were acquired in the late ‘s and early ‘s. In a bond referendum, the citizens of Sarasota County voted to expand the beach by an additional feet. The results of the development of a dune restoration system in which includes five walkovers, has been very successful toward preserving and protecting the shoreline at this site. Camping, hiking, biking, tubing, beaches , canoeing, horseback riding, and events at music parks such as Spirit of Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida on the Suwannee River are just some of the activities available in Florida campgrounds and rv parks. The vast majority are open to visitors and campers. The Florida state park system designates its acquisition into about a dozen categories: Florida state preserves, Florida state parks, Florida state historic sites, Florida state archeological sites, Florida state museums and others.

Our camping options are located on the perimeter of the property shaded by large cedars with forest or creek as a boundary. Resort Policies for Mt. Dogs must be leashed at all times and cleaned up after. Out of respect for other guests, dogs prone to barking are not allowed. Check in time Campground arrivals will not be allowed to check in after 9 pm. Out of respect for our other guests, there are no exceptions to this policy.

Quiet time is 10 pm to 8 am. Check out time is noon. Mounthaven has been rated and inspected by Woodalls, Trailer Life, and numerous tour guides and publications. A night minimum stay may be required during the summer season or on weekends. Our full hookup RV sites have 30 amp some with 20 amp electric service, as well as water and sewer connections. All RV sites have a picnic table and a fire ring. Our RV sites are located on the perimeter of the property and are shaded by large cedars with forest or creek as boundaries.

Camping & RV

The middle School and high school are two miles away. See the “MAPS” link for our location, aerial photos, lake, hiking trails, fishing, and other attractions. On the other side there are 3 acres devoted to RV sites with 12 full hookups. These sites are also for sale. The remaining 12 acres are devoted to tent camping. We have free cable tv at all sites 71 channels.

Large Tent Cabins with 4 cots: These large tent cabins have 4 cots setup inside bedding not included. Bedding sets can be obtained at the registration desk at the General Store during business hours 7am to 9: Bedding is not available after hours.

No smoking or cooking inside the tent cabins. Each tent cabin site has a fire ring. Tent cabins do NOT have electricity, lighting, heat, or cooling. See below for campground images.

Located on the Cherokee Indian Reservation at the southern edge of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the campground is secluded, quiet, heavily wooded, naturally beautiful and nestled on 88 acres between 3 mountain tops. It is back to nature camping at Indian Creek Campground. Unwind and relax to the sounds of one of our fast running streams. Enjoy some time together as a family sitting around your campfire roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Our amenities include tent and RV sites, full hook up sites, cabins, camp store, clean restrooms with hot showers, stocked trout stream, playground, dump station, laundry, scheduled activities and WIFI hotspot for internet access.

Campgrounds With RV Hookups in Northern California

Woodland Park has a great location, convenient to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore and within walking distance of downtown Grand Marais. It is a very good park for RVs, with full hookups and dump station, at a very reasonable price considering its prime location. Tahquamenon Falls has a very nice network of hiking trails, attractive waterfalls, and modern campground facilities. One of the nicer tent camping spots in the eastern Upper Peninsula but also well suited for RVs. It has a nice location sandwiched between Lake Superior on one side and Muskallonge Lake on the other so you get the advantages both offer.

Closer to Sault Ste.

Welcome to another season of camping at Grandfather Campground! We are open here all year, so come and visit during the summer and the ski season. We have 30 and 50 amp full hookup sites, tent sites, and several types of cabin rentals.
